Alleged drive by shooting leaves two people wounded in Eastpointe; suspects on the run

 


EASTPOINTE — Eastpointe Police are investigating an alleged drive-by shooting on Thursday evening that left two people wounded.


It happened around 8:00 p.m. when police were called to the 17000 block of Sprenger for 911 calls of a shooting.


Officers learned that the suspects had fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and located shell casings at the scene.


A 55-year-old female was taken to St. Johns Hospital on Moross in stable condition with a gunshot wound, along with a male in his 20s, who is reported in critical condition with a gunshot wound.


Police are actively investigating the shooting and anybody with information is urged to call 586-777-6700.
