CHESTERFIELD TWP — Around 7:00pm on Wednesday, the Chesterfield Township Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on 23 Mile Road at the I-94 overpass.
The crash involved what appears to be two SUVs, and the Chesterfield Fire Department as well as Medstar also responded to the scene.
EB 23 Mile Road was closed, and remains closed as police investigate the crash.
The EB I-94 exit and entrance ramps to 23 Mile were also, and remain closed due to the investigation.
The extent of injuries to those involved was not immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
