Two homes damaged, no injuries reported after residential dumpster fire in Roseville

ROSEVILLE — Tuesday night at about 7:00pm, the Roseville Fire Department was called to the 29800 block of Quinkert Street on reports of a residential dumpster on fire.

The dumpster was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene. The raging fire quickly sparked flames to two houses next to the dumpster.

Firefighters were able to quickly put the flames out. The house north of the dumpster suffered interior damage and may no longer be structurally livable. The other house that caught fire suffered exterior damage and is still structurally livable.

Saint Clair Shores Fire Department assisted with a search of both houses while Roseville firefighters worked strictly on putting the flames out.

According to the Roseville Fire Department, the house that suffered exterior damage was also damaged in another fire back in February, related to the same dumpster.

At the time of the fire, it was 92 degrees outside. No firefighters suffered heat exhaustion, however, they were drained as a result of this incident.
