One killed after being struck by train in Warren

 


WARREN — Warren Police is investigating after someone was struck and killed by a train late Sunday night.


Around 11:25 p.m., officers responded to Groesbeck Hwy and Toepfer Road after receiving a call from the Canadian Railway Police who stated that they believed that somebody was stuck under the train after being struck.


Officers along with firefighters began searching the length of the train for signs of the person when they located them and pronounced them deceased at the scene.


The investigation is ongoing and all railway traffic has been halted in the area. 9 Mile Road is also closed at Groesbeck as of 12:00 a.m.
