HARRISON TWP — A man has died after going underwater in Lake St. Clair on Saturday, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Marine Division was called to the water near Metropark Beach around 5:28 p.m, for the report that the man, 57-years-old, went underwater and was pulled from the surface by a friend.
The man was not conscious when pulled into a boat and CPR was started while he was transported to firefighters at shore.
He was taken to McLaren Macomb where he succumbed to his injuries.
Harrison Township and Saint Clair Shores Firefighters responded to the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the drowning.
