WARREN — A man is in police custody after stealing a vehicle and fleeing from Warren Police Officers on Wednesday afternoon.
It started with police responding to the Warren Community Center, in area of Chicago and Mound Roads, to field a report of a Chevy Equinox stolen from the location.
Officers were able to track the vehicle using OnStar where it was located by officers just north of the area.
The Equinox didn’t stop and led officers westbound on 14 Mile before coming to a stop with the help of OnStar who disabled the vehicle remotely.
The suspect fled from the vehicle on foot near 14 Mile and Mound Roads and was quickly apprehended.
The mans identity is not known at this time and police are still investigating the incident.
