Alleged kidnapping in Warren leads to pursuit, recovery of two females

 

WARREN — A man is in custody after an alleged kidnapping in Warren that led to a multi-agency police pursuit on Monday.

Warren Police Officers were made aware of the alleged kidnapping and were able to obtain a suspect vehicle description early on in their investigation.

That vehicle was located shortly after where a pursuit ensued through Westland where it ended in Inkster, on Western Street.

The suspects silver SUV crashed after slowly rolling into a yard when the suspect jumped out and began fleeing on foot.

Officers immediately gave chase and were able to apprehend the suspect.

Once the suspect vehicle came to a stop, two woman exited the vehicle visibly upset and in tears. Officers comforted the victims and got them to safety.

The Warren Police Department is actively investigating the incident and no further information is available.
