Chesterfield Police seek suspects wanted for retail fraud, striking officer with vehicle while fleeing

CHESTERFIELD TWP — Police in Chesterfield Township are looking for two retail fraud suspects who fled the scene in a vehicle, striking an officer while doing so.


The shoplifting happened on Monday, July 15, at Walmart on Marketplace Blvd. where more than $1,000 in merchandise was stolen.


Loss prevention contacted police who responded as the three suspects were leaving the store. One of the suspects was apprehended while the other two got into a vehicle and fled. 


The vehicle struck a Chesterfield Township officer - who sustained only minor injuries.


The vehicle is described as a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu with a MI registration of EVR 4104. It also may have passenger side damage from striking the officer.
