13-year-old in custody after stabbing female in St. Clair Shores

 


ST. CLAIR SHORES — A 13-year-old boy is in police custody after stabbing a female in St. Clair Shores Thursday evening.


It happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. at the 22400 block of Maxine, when police received a call from an adult stating that there was a group of young friends at the home when the boy stabbed the unknown aged female and then claimed he had a handgun.


Police arrived to the scene and learned that the boy had fled to the 22000 block of Marter where he was located and taken into custody.


The female victim had superficial wounds to a couple areas of her body including her abdomen. Her injuries were not life-threatening.


It’s unclear if police recovered the handgun that the young teenager claimed to have and the stabbing remains under investigation.
