CLINTON TWP — A Macomb County Sheriff Deputy was uninjured after his patrol car was struck by a vehicle around midnight.
Around 11:30pm Sunday, Clinton Township Police Officers responded to a vehicle accident on westbound I-94 at Harper Avenue and requested the Sheriff’s Office to assist in closing the freeway while they worked the crash scene.
A deputy was blocking the freeway when another vehicle slammed into his patrol car.
The deputy suffered no apparent injuries at the scene and two teenagers in the vehicle that struck the police car were taken to McLaren Macomb with serious injuries.
A female from the original crash scene was taken to McLaren Macomb in stable condition and is believed to be intoxicated.
The freeway is closed for investigation into both crashes.
