Warren Police investigate after student threatens to bring gun to school following fight with another student

 

WARREN — A 13-year-old boy is under investigation by Warren Police after making a threat towards another student on Monday.

The boy was involved in a fight with another student in a restroom at Chatterton Middle School. 

Following the fight, the boy told the other student that he was going to bring a gun to the school on Tuesday. 

The threat was forwarded to police who say that the boy admitted to making the statement, and allegedly has access two guns at his home.

Police seized a 9mm handgun from the boys home during a search warrant on Tuesday.

Commission Dwyer says that the boy never entered school property with a gun and the threatening statement was reported immediately.

Chatterton Middle School is part of Fitzgerald Public Schools and is located near Ryan and Stephen Roads.
