CLINTON TWP — Clinton Township Police is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian crash that left an elderly woman dead in front of the police department Monday night.
Around 10:15pm, officers responded to Groesbeck Avenue and Remick for a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Police arrived at the scene and located the elderly woman lying in the northbound lanes of Groesbeck with obvious serious injuries.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle involved stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police. Additionally, police have ruled out the involvement of drugs or alcohol.
The intersection was closed for hours while police investigated the crash, and any witnesses are urged to call police.
