Ammunition found in middle school bathroom leading to lockdown in Fraser

FRASER — The discovery of alleged ammunition was made this morning in a bathroom at Richards Middle School in Fraser.

Fraser Department of Public Safety responded to the school to conduct an investigation, and work to locate how the ammunition got there.

Richards Middle School was locked down, and Fraser High School was placed into lockout while police investigated.

“All students are safe and in their classrooms while the police work through their investigation,” said Kristin Sommers, Director of Communication Relations for Fraser Public Schools.

Parents are able to pick their children up at the main office, and with identification.
