EASTPOINTE — Eastpointe Police have a suspect in custody after a barricaded suspect situation that lasted roughly two hours Friday night.
Police were called to a home on the 22000 block of Lambrecht around 10:40 PM for reports of a woman screaming that her child was shot.
Police arrived at the scene and immediately started barricaded suspect protocol. It was later learned that the victim was a man in his 50s, not a child.
Around 12:30 AM Saturday, the victim was released from the home. Following the victims release, police entered the home and apprehended the suspect without further incident.
Roseville and St. Clair Shores Police assisted on scene.
