CHESTERFIELD TWP — Chesterfield Township Police have been searching the area of Baker Road and 24 Mile Road for hours on Sunday after a teenager was involved in a fight with his father.
The incident unfolded around 4:05 PM when a third-party 911 caller notified police of an injured teenager running away from a Dodge Ram truck on Meadow View Ln.
The teenager was last seen on foot going NW from the intersection, sparking a search with a K9 and a helicopter of the wooded area at the intersection.
The teenager was located after 8:00 PM in the Quail Run complex in Lenox Township, but he ran from officers, sparking another search of the area.
Shortly after, around 8:30 PM, the teenager was again located and is with Chesterfield Police officers.
The large search was assisted by the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and a Homeland Security helicopter.
