ST. CLAIR SHORES — Saint Clair Shores Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday morning at 9 Mile Road and Harper Avenue.
The shooting unfolded around 8:45 AM at the Shell Gas Station, where multiple 911 callers reported ongoing gunfire between two vehicles.
One male was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the left side of the chest. He was conscious at the scene.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene on Harper Avenue, but the suspect was caught later in the day by police.
A second vehicle involved, a gold Jeep, was also recovered by police.
South Lake Schools were briefly placed on lockdown while police secured the area.
Evidence will be submitted to the prosecutors office for review.
