SHELBY TWP — A vehicle accident in Shelby Township sent multiple people to the hospital and at least one killed on Friday night.
Shelby Township Police and Fire Departments responded to Van Dyke Avenue at Elizabeth Ann for a vehicles accident with one person ejected and at least one more entrapped.
The crash involved an SUV and a Dodge Challenger.
Two people were transported to Troy Beaumont with critical injuries and another person was also injured, but their status wasn’t immediately available.
One of the patients succumbed to their injuries shortly after the crash.
Van Dyke will be closed for several hours while police investigate the crash. Barricades are up and drivers should avoid the area.
