A Saint Clair Shores man was arraigned in Oakland County for threatening a detective who was working on an investigation involving the his son.
MSP says that on April 25, 2023, 55-year-old Joseph Michael Keith had left a threatening message on a detectives LinkedIn account.
Troopers identified Keith from his profile on LinkedIn and went to his home where they interviewed and arrested him.
Keith was charged once with malicious use of a telecommunications service and was given a $2,500 cash bond. Keith is to not have contact with the detective if he posts bond.
“We take threats made on the internet very seriously.” stated F/Lt Mike Shaw, Public Information Officer. “Make sure you think before you type, and especially before you hit send.”
