Walmarts in multiple Michigan cities receive bomb threats on Monday

Several Walmart locations in Michigan have been evacuated and searched by police after bomb threats were reported on Monday.

Earlier on Monday morning, Canton Township Police evacuated and requested a search of Walmart at Michigan Avenue and S Canton Center Road due to a bomb threat. The store was later reopened after no explosives were found.

Police in Coldwater have responded to the Walmart location on U.S. 12 and Willowbrook after noon because of a bomb threat that was called in. Michigan State Police, Branch County Sheriff’s, DNR, and more are assisting in this threat.

The Walmart on Adams Road in Rochester Hills was also evacuated Monday afternoon due to a phoned in bomb threat.

Around noon, the Walmart location in White Lake was also the recipient of a bomb threat, forcing this location to close as well and authorities work to search the premises for explosives.

Michigan State Police and the local police departments have been at these scenes, and at this time, no credible threat was located at any of the above locations.
