Chesterfield Township Police investigating a bomb threat at Walmart; store evacuated

CHESTERFIELD TWP — Chesterfield Township Police have evacuated the Walmart Supercenter located at Hall Road and I-94 on Thursday afternoon due to an alleged bomb threat.

The store was immediately evacuated and police are working on searching the store.

The public is asked to avoid the area.

Threats have been on the rise in the state, with several Walmarts targeted in bomb threats earlier in the week. Thursday morning, three Marine City Schools were evacuated due to a bomb threat, and a false active shooter report was found non-credible in Detroit in Mack Ave.
