WARREN — Shortly before midnight on New Years Eve, Warren firefighters responded to Moulin Avenue for a residential structure fire.
When on scene, it was learned that a woman was possibly trapped inside of the home.
Heavy flames were coming out of the windows in the front of the residence, and firefighters were able to put the fire under control quickly.
Once safe to do so, firefighters entered the home where they located a woman, who was transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The fire remains under investigation.
