Alleged kidnapping leads to vehicle pursuit through Warren and Detroit; Suspect remains on the run

WARREN — Around 11:30pm on Sunday night, Warren Police responded to Motel 6 at Chicago Road and Van Dyke after receiving a 911 call of suspicious activity.

The caller advised officers that a male dragged a female into a black Chevy Impala and then fled the scene.

Warren units located the vehicle at 13 Mile Road and Schoenherr, which started a vehicle pursuit that ended on Neal Street on Detroits East side.

The driver took off on foot after stopping the vehicle, and hasn’t been located after both Warren and Detroit Police Departments conducted a lengthy search of the area.

The female victim was transported to the hospital after possibly suffering a medical episode on scene.

The female victim also notified units that she had been held captive for multiple months and that she had been forced to ingest drugs.

The suspect is described as a bald black male, last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, and wearing white shoes.

Police continue to investigate the incident and asks anyone who has information on the suspects whereabouts to contact them immediately.

The suspect may have fled with a switchblade.
