One in custody after house, patrol car, another car struck during pursuit throughout Warren and Detroit

 

WARREN — Around 5:45pm on Saturday, Warren Police responded to the area of Toepfer and MacArthur for a suspicious driver report.

When officers arrived on scene, the vehicle took off and led officers on a chase.

Speeds in the pursuit reached above 80mph and the suspect rammed into a civilian car that was occupied near 10 Mile and Mound.

Near 8 Mile and Mound, the suspect vehicle rammed a Warren Police vehicle.

The driver kept going into the City of Detroit where Detroit Police assisted in the chase.

The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed into a house near 8 Mile and Charleston. The driver was taken into custody.

Officers recovered a firearm from the suspect vehicle.

Nobody was seriously hurt in the pursuit.
