Shooting threat to GM Plant in Flint leads to arrest; Suspect allegedly angry after not being re-hired

FLINT — Over the past weekend, law enforcement officers were notified of a shooting threat sent via email, by Paris Desean Alexander, to the GM Assembly Plant in Flint.

Police immediately began investigating and were able to learn information on the suspect and his background.

Federal Law Enforcement agents as well as local officers were dispatched to Detroit Metropolitan Airport on reports that the suspect was arriving from a flight.

Alexander was taken into custody at the airport and a warrant was submitted and approved for the suspects home.

Police seized multiple firearms including a modified AK-47 as well as hundreds of rounds of ammunition from Alexanders' home.

Police also learned that Alexander was denied rehire at the assembly plant which sparked anger leading to the incident.

Alexander was out on bond for weapons-related charges at the time of his arrest.

Alexander remains behind bars in Flint facing charges related to false terrorism threats and using a computer to commit a felony.
