Tuesday night, Lincoln Park Police responded to a kidnapping report from a female stating that her 8-year-old daughter was taken by her boyfriend.
Police located the vehicle and a high-speed pursuit occurred, however, officers lost sight of the vehicle.
Officers then found the vehicle and another pursuit occurred, but again sight was lost.
Police began pinging the suspects cellphone in an attempt to locate him.
The suspect call 911 and told dispatchers that he was going to kill himself and the little girl.
A manhunt conducted by Lincoln Park Police, Detroit Police, Southgate Police, Dearborn Police, Melvindale Police, River Rouge Police, and Michigan State Police led to the suspect being arrested on Detroit SW side.
The little girl was located safely and will be transported for evaluation.
The incident remains under investigation.
