Shelby Township — UPDATE: On 06/18/2022 at approximately 0100hrs our dispatchers received a phone call from a resident regarding a suspicious incident captured on her Ring camera. The call was a shadow or silhouette captured on her camera. Officers responded and checked the area with no findings, the area checked clear. The suspicious incident was later reported as a Big Foot sighting per a scanner page on social media. After thorough investigation, there was no Big Foot sighting in Shelby Township.
At around 1:30am on Friday night, a female called 911 reporting she had saw and captured a Bigfoot-like creature on her doorbell camera.
The call came in and Shelby Township Police responded to the residence in the area of 22 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue.
Shelby Township Police did conduct a search of the area, but unfortunately, no Bigfoot or Bigfoot-like creature was to be found.
No further information was immediately available from the Shelby Township Police Department regarding this call.
