Several of individuals from Michigan injured after crashing boat into tiny island on Canadas Lake St. Clair waters

 LAKE ST. CLAIR — On Saturday evening, a few metro Detroiters headed out for Lake St. Clair, but the fun in the trip didn’t last very long.

Emergency Services near Windsor, Canada were called to a tiny island in Lake St. Clair after the boat ran up the side of the tiny island causing a few individuals on board to suffer minor injuries.

Those injured were transported to an area hospital to be treated. Those investigating the crash say that drugs/alcohol appears to have played a role in how the boat ended up where it did.
