MCSO says no shell casings located after shots fired report in Macomb Township

 MACOMB TWP — UPDATE: Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says that no shell casings were located on scene and after reviewing surveillance video, it was determined that no shots were fired despite what the caller told dispatch. One individual was injured on scene and treated for injuries.



ORIGINAL: At around 2:30am, a 911 call was received by the Macomb County Communications Center stating shots fired after a fight at 7-Eleven at the NE corner of the Garfield and 21 Mile Road intersection.


According to the 911 call, a fight occurred that led to gunfire, and the caller reported one injured via gunfire and another injured after being hit by a vehicle.


A black sedan connected to the incident fled the scene south on Garfield from 21 Mile Road.


Information on whether the suspects were caught, or any further information related to injuries remains unknown. 


We are expecting a release soon.


This is an active investigation and anybody who witnessed the incident should contact the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
