Michigan State Police investigating a shots fired call in Oak Park; No victims, Nobody cooperating


 OAK PARK — Michigan State Police says that they responded to a shots fired report in Oak Park in the overnight hours on father’s day Sunday.


The calls started pouring in around 2:00am. The callers announced shots fired in the area of the 21000 block of Glen Lodge in Oak Park.


Troopers arrived on scene and immediately noticed lots of shell casings next to a Mazda SUV, as well as bullet holes in the SUV. 


Troopers made contact with a group near the scene who stated that they have been out all night and didn’t hear or see anything.


As Troopers began processing the scene, the same group began interfering and trying to enter the crime scene. The group became aggressive and Oak Park Public Safety was called to the scene for crowd control.


Troopers continued to process the scene and located two additional vehicles near the scene with bullet holes in them. 


Troopers began canvassing homes in the area and located a home with shell casings on the porch.


The residents inside of the home were very uncooperative with Troopers.


Troopers marked more than two dozens shell casings on scene, and recovered a handgun and a rifle at the scene as well. 


Hospitals were notified of the shooting, however, no victims showed up to any hospitals. There were no victims on scene either.
