DETROIT — Around 1:00am on June 15, Detroit Police responded to a shooting on the cities west side.
Officers arrived on scene and located a female victim with a gunshot wound, and she was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The suspect, 24-year-old Jayvon Moore, fled the scene of the shooting but was found and arrested on June 21.
The victim, only identified as a 17-year-old Warren woman, is recovering from the shooting and is going to survive.
The victim was also said to the the e stranger girlfriend of Moore.
Moore is facing the following charges:
• Assault with intent to do great bodily harm
• Felony firearm
• Felony firearm
• Felony firearm
• Felon in possession of a firearm
• Felonious assault
