CHESTERFIELD TWP — Chesterfield Township Police and Macomb County Coroner are working the scene at 22 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue.
A 27-year-old male was walking down the road when he found a deceased body in the drainage ditch. He called 911 to report the finding.
Chesterfield Township Police confirmed this statement and said that the body looked like it has been there for some time.
An autopsy will be performed to identify the body and manner of death.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information should call the Chesterfield Township Police Department.
